This is a horrific story that I felt I should pass on to you guys. Helena Bonham Carter, who plays a villain in the upcoming Terminator Salvation and is currently in the middle of principle filming, lost four family members late last week.
During a safari trip in South Africia, a deadly car crash killed Carter’s cousin Fiona’s 14-year old son, Fiona’s mother and step-father and her sister-in-law Kay Boardman.
Fiona herself escaped with a broken shoulder.
The crash happened in a remote area about six hours from Johannesburg.
Carter was reportedly stricken with grief and in total shock when she was given the news. She’s been granted indefinite leave from filming while she tends to family in Britain.
Horrible news guys. Can’t imagine what it’s like to lose four family members in an instant, or be Fiona and somehow live through it all and have to go on without her son or mother.

I heard about this this morning on the radio. HBC is engaged to Tim Burton who turns 50 today. Ugh.
