‘The Bank Job’ gets two thumbs up

Okay, they don’t do “thumbs” anymore on At The Movies with Ebert and Roeper, but if they still did, this latest episode would have had both of them pointing straight up!

On a side note, Roger Ebert is the one witholding the usage of the “thumb” on the show while he negotiates a new contract with Disney. He apparently holds the intellectual rights to the thumbs up/thumbs down rating system.

Can you imagine holding the right to something like that?

Anyways, Richard Roeper and guest host Michael Phillips (who I really do like) both loved The Bank Job and called it one of the best crime capers in the past decade.

High praise from those guys and since I tend to align pretty well with Roeper’s opinions on films, I couldn’t be happier.

If you want to see the previous trailer and the poster for the film, visit an old blog post of ours.

The international trailer appears below and I have to say, I’m pretty excited for this movie. Jason Statham has always been a favorite of mine, even if I haven’t seen The Transporter films. I loved him in Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
