Will “Big Willie” Smith made this holiday weekend the fifth Independence Day weekend that he’s ruled the box office cementing his place as the King of the Fourth Of July. However, even as Hancock doubled the gross of the second place film, it still managed to fall below industry expectations.
(My reviews tend to contain mild spoilers. While I don’t really think I am capable of ruining this, proceed with caution.)
I refuse to believe that M. Night Shyamalan isn’t capable of making another great movie. Unfortunately, his last two films have made that extremely difficult.
Some say that he stopped making good movies when he came out with Signs, but that’s my favsies (I’ll explain why if you’re interested), and The Village actually comes in close second. But Lady in the Water was an abysmal failure (did anyone really get it?), and I’m sorry to say that The Happening is no better.
The marketing guys behind The Happening have released three new international posters for the film. By international I mean they’re in Spanish and are clearly aimed at the Mexican market since they show three different Mexican cities undergoing some sort of “happening.” I’m guessing they’ll probably release more posters for more international cities during the week, but that’s just a guess.
The Movie Blog posted this today after getting it emailed to them from a ton of people. Apparently it’s a picture of a poster in New York for The Happening that has been a bit…vandalized.
Considering a lot of the hatred people have with disappointing M. Night Shyamalan movies, this poster seems to be an outlet for all of that pent up anger.
So they’ve released yet another movie poster for M. Night Shyamalan’s summer film, The Happening starring Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel, John Leguizamo, Betty Buckley, Spencer Breslin, and Ashlyn Sanchez.
This poster is the third one so far and probably my least favorite. I’m not exactly sure what they were going for, but it mostly just makes [...]
A new international movie poster for M. Night Shyamalan’s summer film, The Happening starring Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel, John Leguizamo, Betty Buckley, Spencer Breslin, and Ashlyn Sanchez.
Here is a red band (Rated-R) Trailer for “The Happening” which shows an unknown epidemic that cannot be explained, not by theory or science. The human race has begun to destroy itself. Mark Wahlberg plays a man who is forced to go on the run with his family in town
The outlook on the summer blockbuster season was so hot a few months ago. The titles of the films coming out blew your mind and you couldn’t wait to see them.
Then Iron Man came and fulfilled our most wild fantasies. It was awesome!
We recently brought you news that M. Night Shyamalan is prepping a trilogy of films based on Nickelodeon’s animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Well, with James Cameron also filming a movie called “Avatar” it was only a matter of time before someone would have to give. Guess who caved?
It looks like those of us who like M. Night Shyamalan but have been hoping he would make a move away from the formulaic genre he’s been in for a while are about to get our wish. Shyamalan is currently in pre-production adapting the popular cartoon, Avatar: The Last Airbender, into an expected movie trilogy. [...]
Back on February 5th we posted what we thought was the teaser trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s new film The Happening (M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Happening New Teaser Trailer and Poster). As it turned out, the trailer was leaked without permission and the studio got all freaked out because there were scenes of mass suicide [...]
By official, I mean this site has a highly unlikely chance of getting its hand slapped by FOX for posting illegal versions of The Happening trailer. Mainly because at this point, the trailer resides on a site that doesn’t offer up any embedding code.
I saw this trailer on Thursday when I watched Jumper, but I [...]
The poster for M. Night Shyamalan’s new movie, “The Happening” hit the internet Friday afternoon and it’s one heck of a eye-catcher.
The taglines on it read:
“We’ve sensed it, We’ve seen the signs, Now…it’s Happening.”
Obvious to any M. Night fan as references to his big two, The Sixth Sense and Signs. Check out the poster:
Not so long ago I picked up a copy of Alice Sebold’s, The Lovely Bones, in the bargain bin for $1. I had already heard that Peter Jackson was planning to direct the movie version of “The Lovely Bones” and that Ryan Gosling was set to star so I bought the book without thinking. I actually started reading it this past weekend.
