"Sorry Mike, I got my big 'one month since we said I love you' celebration. Sammy's getting some hammy tonight." - Sam,       Burn Notice

Shooting begins on “Terminator Salvation”

There is an official blog for the production of Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, and the first post was made last Friday by producer McG.

Photography has started on the film, with a scene bring shot at Griffith Observatory with Anton Yelchin and Sam Worthington, who play Kyle Reese and Marcus Wright respectively. McG has already seen a cut of that initial shot and was pretty happy.

Pop Critics Looking For Writers

Pop Critics is actively looking for more talented and enthusiastic writers who can tackle some of the things we’re not already covering, or perhaps contribute new points of view to television shows or subjects we are already covering.

A new blog to subscribe to - Roger Ebert’s Journal

Well, this is such a cool story to pass on to you guys, thanks to The Movie Blog and Cinematical.
Roger Ebert has opened his first ever blog, called Roger Ebert’s Journal.
It started with very little fanfare, no prior warning or grand opening. It was just suddenly there and he began posting blogs. His first was [...]

PopCritics’ Top Commentors for February

Every month here at Pop Critics, we take a look back at the previous month and tally up the comments whilst we look for the one who posted the most of ‘em.
If you are from Jason’s blog, Inner88, this is something new, but it was a monthly thing I did over at A Mike Life [...]

More from Terminator viral site EniTech Research

With so much to see online these days, keeping up with everything is a pain in the butt. That being the case, I’ve missed a TON of stuff going on at the EniTech viral website for the Terminator saga. This picture of a badly damaged tape is just part of the fun going on there [...]

The Little Baby ThinkBox Birth Date Prediction Contest

My good friend Jeff of Static Thinkbox is putting on a bit of unique contest over on his site.  His wife is due to give birth pretty soon (March 14 to be exact) so Jeff is letting his readers take a guess at when the Little Baby ThinkBox is actually going to arrive.
The prize for [...]

Something cool this way comes

I wanted to make sure you guys knew that today and tomorrow might see a drop off in postings, but it’s only temporary.
I’m working on something that has to do with this blog and an exciting change that I cannot wait to see happen, so my time has been a bit preoccupied with that for [...]

Top Commentors for January

December was a record-setting month comment-wise for A Mike Life and I was just thrilled to get some of you really starting to participate here more. Because to me, this is an interactive site, where I write about things I like and you like, and then hear back on what you think. That’s what makes [...]

Welcome to the new home for A Mike Life

If you are seeing this message, then you’ve found the new home for A Mike Life.
The process of moving everything over was a lot easier than I thought. Thanks to my friend Adrian’s good advice, it was just a matter of copying all my files and folders, and importing the database. A few things had [...]

AML is moving servers!

Well, it looks like we can blame all this on Paula Abdul being drunk.
My blog post early this morning about Paula Abdul and her American Idol drunken hiccup episode got me linked to on USA Today’s Entertainment blog.
This resulted in a lot of traffic (which I am totally grateful for) and it started to bog [...]

Get your Blogging Zoom on!

One of my favorite quotes from The Office comes from Andy Bernard when he’s talking to Michael Scott about his Wednesday night plans:
“Gonna go home. Get my beer on. Get my “Lost” on.“
I sort of have my own set of events that I do on a given day or night:
“Gonna go home. Get Diet Coke [...]

200th BloggingZoom Article Posted

Today I have reached a milestone that I wanted to share with my readers as well as the other users of BloggingZoom.  It’s hard to believe but the article you are reading right now is the 200th article I have submitted to BloggingZoom.  I began submitting my articles to BloggingZoom on November 1, 2007.
What Is [...]

Technorati Is Ridiculous

I can’t say that I’ve ever been a huge fan of Technorati.  When I first started blogging it seemed that a lot of bloggers were completely consumed with how well they were doing with their Technorati ranking and authority (a measure of how many other blogs link to you).  I didn’t know much so I [...]

Blogging Zoom hacked

One of my favorite sites out there is Blogging Zoom and a pretty horrid act was inflicted upon it today as some deadbeat hackers took it down and threw up some Apache server splash page.
Not only that, but a good friend of mine Vic, who is behind Blogging Zoom along with another guy named Court, [...]

Sarah Connor Chronicles: Viral website EniTech Research

Apparently you can no longer have a television show without some sort of mythology-based viral website that appears totally unconnected to the show, but is obviously part of its marketing strategy.
Not only that, but the work that goes into these things almost seems to be a full-time job in of itself.
Although, I will have to [...]
