Two New and Really Cool Posters For Max Payne

Two New and Really Cool Posters For Max Payne

We’ve already been telling you how we think Max Payne starring Mark Wahlberg actually looks pretty cool for a video-game-turned-movie. I’ve been especially impressed with the artwork that’s been coming out since the release of the almost equally cool teaser trailer. These two new posters continue the trend.

The Friday Question - Batman’s Next Villain

With The Dark Knight breaking box office records faster than anyone can keep up and the film well on its way to being the highest grossing movie of the year (and one of the highest grossing ever), there’s little doubt that a third Batman film from Christopher Nolan and company is forthcoming.

(WILL PROBABLY CONTAIN SPOILERS OF THE DARK KNIGHT)

Could Torchwood Star Be Captain America?

Comingsoon.net is reporting that John Barrowman, the star of Torchwood, was just asked if there is any possibility that he would be playing Captain America in the upcoming film for Marvel. Barrowman is in San Diego and is currently appearing on a panel at Comic-Con.

Harvey Dent and Catwoman in the next Batman?

This post contains some spoilers from The Dark Knight, so don’t read on if you haven’t seen it.

And honestly, if you haven’t seen it yet, you probably don’t care about spoilers anyways.

Comic-Con: Trouble in Hall H

Well, I’m not there yet, but hopefully when I finally do arrive, I wont go through what some others have already experienced today.

Coming Soon reports that a mini-disaster occurred in the massive Hall H. Some scaffolding supporting drapes in the rear of the room collapsed and hurt one individual at least.

Jim Carrey’s Yes Man Teaser Trailer and Poster

Jim Carrey finally has another big comedy lined up for release. Yes Man is set to be Warner Bros’ big Christmas holiday comedy so they have high hopes for it. To me it sounds like the complete opposite of Liar, Liar - almost like some sort of weird sequel.

Terminator Salavation will look very silvery

Terminator Salvation has reached the mid-point of production. Most of you have likely already seen the first teaser for the movie either on our site or attached to The Dark Knight this past weekend.

McG posted an update on the film’s official production blog a few days ago and one of the major highlights I took from it was the cool stuff they are doing with the “look” of the entire thing.

Two new posters for The Day The Earth Stood Still

We’ve been talking lately about remakes and how tired of them we all are, but at least The Day the Earth Stood Still seemed interesting once we got our first look at the teaser.

Now we have two new posters to show you, although one of them is pretty similar to the first one Jason showed us back in June.

The Dark Knight continues its historic run at the box office this week as even more records begin falling faster than they’ve ever fallen before. Almost unprecedented audience and critical acclaim along with an unusually high curiosity factor is bringing people to the theaters in droves and filling up seats in even the daytime showings.

Mike heads to Comic-Con tomorrow!

I’ve been looking forward to this for a few weeks now. Comic-Con. My first trip there is happening in less than 24 hours and I’m beyond excited.

I’m also totally freaking out because I have no idea what to expect. I’ve seen the pictures, heard what it’s like, but I have a feeling you can’t know until you experience it for yourself.

Comic book review: “War Heroes #1″ (2008)

In the latest series from Mark Millar (Wanted, Kick-Ass, 1985), the United States of the very near future is still fighting the war on terrorism in Iraq, soldiers are dying, the economy sucks and the president’s approval ratings are non-existent.

Sound familiar?

Calling it the sequel to Ultimates 3 if he’d written it, Millar brings us a new, six-issue comic book series called War Heroes.

Bryan Singer Producing Very Cool Sounding Capeshooters

Okay, so we’ve got like a thousand comic book adaptations in the works with a bunch more on the way that I’m going to be reporting on over the next day or two, but there’s one that Bryan Singer is producing that I think sounds pretty cool and could bring something unique to the superhero concept. It’s called Capeshooters.

Peter Berg To Direct Hercules: The Thracian Wars

Peter Berg, fresh off successfully directing Will Smith in Hancock, is set to produce and direct a “fresh” take on the Hercules saga called Hercules: The Thracian Wars.

Photographic Comparison Between Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy as Spock

I think those of us who have been following news about the upcoming J.J. Abrams Star Trek film have long known that Zachary Quinto, the man picked to play a younger version of Spock bears a striking resemblance to Leonard Nimoy who originated the character. Well, now we have a side by side comparison thanks to Vic over at ScreenRant.com.
